Police are continuing to investigate the cause of a blaze which tore through an auction house in Tetney in the early hours of Good Friday.

Fire crews from Louth and North Somercotes as well as three crews from Humberside were scrambled to the Beam Station Business Park on the B1031 road at around 1am.

They tackled the blaze at the auction house for a number of hours, with a fire crew from Binbrook also called to assist, and they later reported that severe damage was caused to two commercial buildings, including Excel Fisheries, and their contents and one burger van.

Police believe the fire was the result of an arson attack and are investigating.

Anyone with information about the fire should contact Lincolnshire Police on 101, quoting incident 21 of March 29.

A second arson attack over the weekend saw the fire crew from Louth called to put out an industrial wheelie bin fire in Carlton Road, Manby.

The crew arrived on scene at 9.15pm and later confirmed the blaze was started deliberately.
