5pm Thursday: Three people have been arrested after police chased a car, which had apparently been stolen from Derbyshire, along the A16 after it was spotted near Louth earlier today.
The Lincoln and Boston arms of the Lincolnshire Roads Policing Unit were deployed after the vehicle was spotted crossing the border into the county, according to the @LincsRPU Twitter feed.
The vehicle was then spotted near Louth and, after failing to stop and making off at speed, it was chased along the A16, both on and off the road.
The RPU and officers from Louth managed to safely stop the car near Swaby and arrested ‘all the occupants’ of the vehicle.
A spokesperson said three people were arrested from the vehicle in connection with the incident. They are ‘helping police with their enquiries’.
“No-one was hurt and the incident was resolved safely,” they added.
Lincolnshire Police have so far been unavailable to give further information about the incident.
