THERE were three incidents of theft from vehicles in North Thoresby overnight between Monday and Tuesday, September 5 and 6.

Police say three insecure cars were targetted by criminals.

A Nintendo DS was taken from a Citroen Xsara in Highfield Road, and cash was stolen from a Vauxhall Astra and a Nissan Pathfinder in Ludborough Road.

Inspector Mark French said: “We have seen similar spates of theft in Holton Le Clay and Tetney over recent months, all involving insecure vehicles. It is clear that criminals are finding decent pickings and are able to visit a village during the night and simply help themselves to those valuables.

“My officers patrol these areas as much as resources and committments allow but it is important that motorists remove the opportunity for crime by securing their vehicles and not leaving items on display.”

Anyone with information about the thefts should contact Lincolnshire Police on 0300 111 0300 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
