As you step into the newly opened Badgers Barn Bar and Restaurant you may feel like you’re dining out in the city - but in fact it’s right on your doorstep in Mablethorpe.
Coastfield Leisure Ltd which owns The Grange Leisure Park in Alford Road, Mablethorpe opened the new bar and restaurant last weekend.
The company is spending millions upgrading their facilities to help give the town some much needed investment.
Director of Coastfields Leisure Ltd, Lloyd Silvester hopes this facility will be the newest hotspot to eat in drink for miles around.
“The new bar and restaurant is out of this world, there is certainly nowhere like it for miles around,” Mr Silvester said.
“We have an amazing chef on our staff who cooks a mean carvery on a Wednesday and Sunday, and Badgers Barn certainly has a new fresh city feel, something different and exciting to bring to the area.”
But this bar and restaurant is not all that’s new, just next door is a state-of-the-art half a million pound arcade and entertainment suite, with all the latest games for everyone to enjoy.
Mr Silvester added that these new facilities are not just for the site patrons, but stressed that it’s now open for everyone to come in and enjoy.
“These new facilities are fantastic for Mablethorpe and it’s a place that really needs some investment to help it thrive for the future,” Mr Silvester said.
“So we’re welcoming everyone to come in and enjoy these new facilities.
“It’s all good for the local community.”
He also said that it’s helping to bring some extra jobs into the area as well, as all the work is being carried out by local tradesmen.
Plans are also in the pipeline to open a brand new cafe and Londis Shop, and these should be ready to open by July.
Ambitious future plans include eventually building a swimming pool and a spa area to draw in more customers.
