AN APPLICATION by the Diocese of Lincoln to build a two-storey extension at St Michael’s Vicarage, off Little Lane in Louth, has been refused by East Lindsey District Council.
The scheme did not go before the planning committee but was determined under delegated powers by a case officer who took the view that the proposed works would be ‘inappropriate’ to the parent property and create a ‘discordant feature’ in the street scene.
If allowed, the extension would have accommodated an enlargement to a study, plus a first floor bedroom with en-suite.
