WED Renewables is holding a public exhibition on plans for four wind turbines at Damwells Farm, south of North Thoresby.
The proposals will be on show at North Thoresby Village Hall from 3pm to 7pm on Thursday October 17. Specialists from WED Renewables will be on hand to discuss the plan.
Details of the proposals will also be available on the consultation website www.damwellswindfarm.co.uk which launches the same day.
Clare Walters from WED Renewables said: “We have already carried a range of detailed assessments and studies of the Damwells Farm site and believe that it could accommodate four wind turbines producing clean, green electricity for homes and businesses in the UK. Now we want to discuss the plans with people in the area – and we want their views on how the yearly £50,000 community fund could be spent.
“The fund could be used as money off local electricity bills, to help fund community projects, or anything else. As it’s a fund for the local area we want this to be led by residents from the community and we’re looking forward to getting their views on the project.”
WED Renewables will be consulting with residents until the end of November.
Residents will be able to complete a feedback form at the exhibition or on the consultation website.
A planning application is expected to be submitted by the end of the year.
