Dog show and cream teas at South Cockerington

FUNDRAISING events are being held to raise funds towards installing toilets and a kitchen at a village church.

St Leonard’s Church is the only public building in South Cockerington and the new facilities will make it more user friendly, enabling a wider range of events to be held there.  On Wednesday August 10 starting at 2.30pm cream teas will be served in the garden of Hall Farm, home of Ralph and Pat Needham, which is near the church.  On Sunday September 4 a Companion Dog Show with fun and pedigree classes will be held in the churchyard.

Registration will be from 12noon and judging will start at 1pm.

Refreshments including a BBQ will be available.
