A forceful drama about women in war is set to be shown at Louth Film Club on Monday, March 6.
The Innocents is Anne Fontaine’s forceful drama, which is set in Poland at the end of the Second World War.
It follows a young Red Cross nurse who helps a group of nuns, raped and made pregnant by Soviet soldiers.
In the course of the film, both nuns and the nurse learn about faith, the disciplines of an ordered life and the demands of love.
The film starts at 7.30pm at the Playhouse Cinema in Cannon Street, Louth.
Tickets are £4 for Louth Film Club members.
Standard cinema prices apply for non-members and concessions.
