Ducks get share of money

TWO groups have received £100s of pounds for their activities in Louth.

The Kidgate Primary Home and School Association has received £500 to improve its chicken and duck run in the children’s animal area and Far Welter’d, the East Lincolnshire Dialect Society, has been given £225 to promote its National Dialect Day in Louth in October.

Alan Mumby, from Far Welter’d, said: “The event will raise local people’s awareness of our local linguistic heritage, and will include dialect speakers from across the country – from Cornwall to Northumberland.”
