East Lindsey District Council dog micro-chipping roadshow comes to Louth and Mablethorpe

PROTECT your pet by taking them along to East Lindsey District Council’s dog micro-chipping roadshow.

It will roll into Louth on Wednesday September 12, at the Meridian Leisure Centre car park from 11am to 2pm.

On Friday September 14 it will be at the Queens Park main car park in Mablethorpe from 11am to 2pm.

Then on Tuesday September 18 it is at the Market Place in Alford from 10am to 12noon.

Figures released by the Dog’s Trust suggest that the number of stray dogs is at an 11-year-high and the council hopes that micro-chipping will help address the issue. To date, the council has micro-chipped over 1,200 dogs in the community.

The microchip costs £10 and is the size of a grain of rice. It contains all the owners contact details and is inserted in the dog’s shoulder blade.
