Music minded children at Grimoldby Primary school have been blowing up a storm!

Pupils in Year 4 have been taking part in brass instrument lessons since January, provided by the Lincolnshire County Music Service.

They have been learning to play both the trumpet and the trombone and the talented young musicians gave a performance of a few songs in a whole school assembly.

The Lincolnshire Music Service provides music leadership, excellence and access through a diverse range of opportunities for all.

This is achieved through high quality teaching and a range of musical projects and programmes for the young people of the county.

They say music ‘benefits every aspect of development and helps us to make sense of the world. It enhances social skills, intellectual development, self-expression and self-confidence.’ “As an integral part of culture it helps pupils understand themselves and relate to others, forging important links between the home, school and the wider world.”
