A local group of residents in Lincoln have set up ‘Our Big Gig in the Arboretum’ in Lincoln which is taking place this Sunday (July 24).
The idea of setting up this free music event started off in 2013 by a small group of residents living in the nearby Monks Road area for something fun to do that everyone locally could enjoy.
They are aiming for it to be an annual event and has since grown, attracting huge numbers and has become a big event which everyone in and out of the city can enjoy.
So this year’s event will kick off from 12noon, with a number of local musical talents, alongside a number of stalls and attractions.
Organisers are hoping that this year’s event will be just as popular, if not bigger.
A run down of this year’s performers, who are all local to the Lincoln area include: Acoustics & Alcohol: 12-12.30pm, Ellie Mae: 12.40-1.10pm,
The Storm Trees: 1.20-1.50pm, Alex Kyle: 2-2.30pm, House of Ghosts: 2.40-3.10pm, Zenith Nadir: 3.20-3.50pm, Ant Macandrew: 4-4.30pm, King Goblin: 4.40-5.10pm, Scribble Victory: 5.30-6.10pm.
The headline act of the evening will be band Albany, who are kicking off their set from 6.20-7pm, ending the day on a high note.
