THE Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve south of Skegness is set to give nature lovers a chance to learn more about our feathered friends this weekend.
A special ‘Birds of Early Spring’ guided walk will be held at the reserve on Saturday, March 24 from 8.30am to 11am.
“Take a guided walk around the reserve to discover what birds have started arriving at Gibraltar Point for the spring,” said a spokesperson.
“This will be followed by an optional bowl of delicious soup,” they added.
The walk is £2 per person, or £5 for the walk and the soup.
Booking is essential on 01754 898057.
Later in the month the reserve will also hold a two-day Spring Food & Craft Fair on the weekend of Saturday, March 31 and Sunday, April 1.
The fair will run from 10am to 4pm on both days.
“Come along and browse through stalls brimming with homemade treasures, plants and food,” continued the spokesperson.
“Join in with some crafty activities and learn some techniques to get you crafting all year long,” they added.
Stalls at the craft fair are expected to include handmade tiles, wooden jigsaws and pictures, hand crafted gift boxes, bags and stationery, Danish jewellery, scarves and accessories.
It will also feature handmade beaded jewellery, wood turning, handmade cushions, handbags, greeting cards, fossils, crystal and gemstone jewellery.
