A family-run estate agency in Louth is celebrating after winning a top accolade at the prestigious Negotiator Awards.

Compass Estate Agents, which is based in Cornmarket and run by Mark Jones and his family, went up against hundreds of other agencies and achieved bronze in the East Midlands Agency of the Year category.

The awards are held annually, with this year’s ceremony being held at the Hilton in Park Lane, London, on November 3.

The glamorous gala dinner was hosted by impressionist and comedian
Alistair McGowan.

This year’s entry list was the biggest in the history of the awards, with competition as keen as ever.

Amelia Jones, from Compass, said: “We are delighted and feel very privileged to have received this award.

“As a family-owned and run business that has recently expanded into Market Rasen, we will continue to offer a local, friendly and professional service to all our past, present and future clients.

“We feel it is very important to remain independent, thereby allowing us to continue running in this way.”

Compass only missed out on the gold award due to strong competition from Seth’s Chartered Surveyors, in Leicester, and Hill & Clark, from South Lincolnshire.
