Far Welter’d, the Louth based, East Lincs Dialect Society, will host an evening of ‘hentertayunment’ to raise money for the restoration fund for St Margaret’s church, Somersby, where Alfred, Lord Tennyson, Queen Victoria’s poet laureate, was baptised.
The event begins at 7.30pm on November 14. Tickets are £8 and include a buffet supper. Tickets are limited (50 only) and are available through Tony Lazell on 01507 450526.

Far Welter’d will be taking part in the Wolds Words festival again this year, with an evening of ‘hentertayunment’ at the King’s Head in Mercer Row, Louth, on October 16, at 7.30pm.
Four members of Far Welter’d will travel to Devon on October 18 this year to take part in the National Dialect Competition.
