Pupils at Fulstow Primary Academy were treated to a special lesson last week, with Great Britain’s number three table tennis player, Hannah Hicks.
Ms Hicks, who is part of the England Table Tennis women’s squad, visited the school on Tuesday January 28.

The 22-year-old conducted a question and answer session with pupils, followed by a one-off after school club for pupils to show off their skills.

“Luke Ford, administrator at the school, said: “The pupils had a fantastic time and really enjoyed Hannah’s visit.

“The pupils, staff, governors and our headteacher Jonathan Grant would all like to say a big thank you to her.”

Ms Hicks said: ‘I thoroughly enjoyed my visit at Fulstow Primary. I was greeted very warmly by the headteacher and a bundle of very excited kids.

“The kids were an absolute joy to talk to, showed tremendous amounts of enthusiasm and were a pleasure to teach. I really hope I have inspired them to keep on playing table tennis.”
