Gear up for Emma Jayne bikeathon

THE now annual Emma Jayne memorial bikeathon and charity walk are being held on Sunday July 24 in Louth.

The events are organised by Ruth and Terry Knowles of Sutton, whose daughter Emma Jayne died of an inoperable brain tumour aged just 22.

All proceeds will go towards purchasing a slide moat for neuro pathology and spectrum software for the Neurosurgical Unit’s MRI scanner at Hull Royal Infirmary.

Entrants can either undertake a 12 or 30 mile bike ride or a 3.5 mile fun walk and get they underway at 11am at The Royal Oak in Little Cawthorpe, near Louth.

For more information or to obtain a sponsor form call Ruth or Terry on 01507 441347 or call in at Louth’s Nottingham Building Society.
