Monks Dyke Tennyson College has been awarded the Secondary Geography Quality Mark 2015 from the Geographical Association in recognition of the great work being done by the department with students from both the Louth and Mablethorpe campuses across the 11-18 age range.
MDTC was among only four schools across the entire county to be awarded the prestigious honour.
As part of the feedback, moderators noted: ‘We were impressed by your effective creation of a geographical learning environment and your exciting plans for future developments in this area.’
Rachel Tickhill, chair of governors for MDTC said: “Governors and SLT for the college would like to commend and congratulate staff within the Geography department, and our students.
“This award is a demonstration of their ongoing commitment and effort. This is a fantastic achievement for the college.”
