THE COMBINED Cadet Force at King Edward VI Grammar School has had its Biennial Inspection.
The cadets were inspected by Brigadier Williams of 49E Brigade, who is a one star General.
The school arranged a variety of events for the day including visiting military personnel bringing their equipment and doing displays.
Vehicles from PWOG Barracks at Grantham attended on the day as well as the RAF Motivational Outreach Team.
Plans for an RAF Chinook heavy lift helicopter from RAF Odiham to land in the school field had to be cancelled after it developed a fault.
Headteacher James Lascelles said: “The CCF does an enormous amount for the school and the local community and this is a spectacular set piece for them and really showcases the commitment that the pupils make.”
The cadets now await the results of the inspection.
