Sally Ward and her family Katie, Rebecca and James decorated East Barkwith Village Hall for the annual Hallow’een Children’s Party she organises each year and this set the scene for the 38 young children who attended to enjoy the fun and games.
All had to be accompanied by parents or other adults and they arrived in various forms of fancy dress to tuck into the buffet tea which Sally, assisted by Lou Marriott and Kate Pope had prepared for them.
It had all been donated and they devoured the spread of sandwiches, crisps, sausage rolls, pizza and lots of home made cakes which had been beautifully and patiently decorated to the theme which was very much enjoyed by everyone.
Music was provided for disco dancing and musical games and the fancy dress competition was judged by Kerry Steale with Grace Marriott the winner for the girls and Drew Marriott the boys.
The decorated pumpkins were judged by Patrick Coxon who chose Emily Marriott’s as the best in the children’s section and Chrissy Yeates won the adult section. Admission was just £1 for each child and Sally donated the £38 collected to village hall funds.
