Hats off to Louth adults with learning disabilities on their proud graduation day

The pupils celebrate their graduation.

A group of adults with learning disabilities in Louth have proudly graduated through two different courses after a year of hard work.

The pupils at the Warwick Road Community Base on the industrial estate and Ramsgate House graduated their Acentis Course on Life Skills and have achieved their level one in functional skills.

Pupils at the Lincolnshire County Council-run centre undertook a course which saw them work in local shops to experience the retail trade first hand.

They also completed a keeping healthy and safe unit which included learning about the emergency services, keeping healthy as well as taking part in physical activity.

The final unit saw the pupils take part in a practical activity which included making their own puppets, hand bags and bracelets.

The aim is to give the pupils more independence and the chance to experience new opportunities.
