Residents living in Louth are being asked for their views on a proposal by Stagecoach that could see double decker buses re-routed back down Queen Street, Mercer Row and then out of town.

A meeting of Louth Bus Round Table will be taking place at the Trinity Centre at 7pm on Monday, October 21 to consider the issue, the views expressed by the community and to hear from Stagecoach.

All members of the public are welcome to attend the meeting. The community can also submit their views on the proposal to cath.pearson@e-lindsey.gov.uk

Louth Bus Round Table is overseen by East Lindsey District Council, through Louth Community Forum.

Chairman of Louth Community Forum, Coun Sarah Dodds, said: “The importance of the Bus Round Table cannot be overemphasised.

“Through its previous work in consulting with the community, Louth got the Nipper service.

“We want to continue that work by really engaging with the residents of Louth.”

Since its inception the Louth Bus Round Table and its members have worked closely with bus operators and Lincolnshire County Council to improve bus services for the town.
