THE organisation that manages Louth Hospital and community health services in the area wants to become a NHS Foundation Trust.
Lincolnshire Community Health Services say the change will not make any difference to the services patients receive but will make them more ‘flexible’.
The LCHS wants to become an NHS Foundation Trust from April 2013.
A consultation exercise so people can have their say is being run until Thursday April 16. As part of this an event will be held at Louth Conoco Rooms above Louth Library on Friday January 27 between 1.30pm and 3pm.
Dr Don White, Chairman for LCHS, said: “Becoming a Foundation Trust will enable us to be more flexible and responsive to local people’s needs. We want our patients, carers, staff and the general public to respond to our plans for the future.
“The proposals set out a number of priorities to improve our services, the recruitment of members and governance arrangements – this is what we want your views on. Our patients won’t notice any obvious change in our services.”
