LOUTH Hospital has nine new digital TVs thanks to adonation from The Louth League of Friends.

The TVs have been installed throughout the hospital to help patients feel more at home when recovering.

The hospital said the patients would ‘benefit from more comfortable surroundings’ thanks to the ‘generous’ donation.

Peter Rhodes of Louth supplied and fitted the TVs in the visitor’s room on Carlton Ward, all the side rooms on Carlton and Manby Ward and a TV with integrated DVD player within the children’s room of the Urgent Care Centre.

Karen Kerman, Urgent Care Matron for Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust, said: “Once again we are overwhelmed with the ongoing support and generosity of the League of Friends.

“This gift will make a difference to patients staying within the hospital, helping make their stay more comfortable and relaxing.

“I would also like to thank Peter Rhodes for their support with the installation on the digital switchover.”
