THE LOUTH based Lincoln & Lindsey Blind Society has announced the appointment of Hugh Bourn OBE as Honorary President.
Mr Bourn follows in the footsteps of two long standing and hard working members of the society, Canon John Hanson OBE and John Keily, who have both died this year.
A statement from the society said: “Mr Bourn has been very supportive of the society over the last few years and has been a vice president since 2006.
“The Society feel Mr Bourn will be an excellent president, as he is well known for having a strong interest, involvement and passion in the service we deliver to the visually impaired within our local communities.”
The Lincoln & Lindsey Blind Society helps people with sight loss to achieve a better quality of life, both through a home visiting service and by the running of social and therapeutic sessions.
