Items wanted for coronation exhibition at Louth Museum

Help celebrate the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation - and get free entry to Louth Museum.

The museum is planning an exhibition around the coronation and life in the early 1950s.

If you have books or souvenirs especially photographs of local events in June 1953 or objects which evoke everyday life at that time please loan them to the museum for their month long exhibition in June.

If you think you have anything suitable get in touch with Manager Geoff Hill on 01507 601211 or call in at the museum in Broadbank before May 18.

Lenders wishing to have their name appear on labels alongside their loaned items are welcome to do

All items loaned will be looked after very carefully and returned to the lender at the end of the exhibition.

Anyone with one or more items accepted for the exhibition will be entitled to a ‘two for one’ entry to the museum during June.

The exhibition will open on June 1 and run until June 29 with entry included in the normal price of admission.

The museum is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm.
