DO you have a passion for singing but are unsure on where to begin? Why not try out your musical talents with St James’ Choir.
St James’ Church has a long standing choral tradition and supports choirs of boys, girls and adults as well as the instrumental group, accommodating everyone and providing music for the church’s main-stream services.
Music Director, Lisa Taylor said: “There’s so much that St James’ Choir can offer an individual and you can also gain a musical education.
“Being able to sing as an ensemble is an important skill to receive, but enjoying the singing is the most important factor.”
Two choral services are normally sung on Sundays, a morning Eucharist and Choral Evensong. The main variation occurs on the second Sunday of each month, with a morning family service.
Lisa added: “If you want to sing, then come along.”
The boys choir practice takes place on Mondays after school, girls practice is on Wednesdays and everyone comes together for a full choir practice on Fridays.
l The choir is always looking out for new talents in all catergories. For more information contact the music director on 01507 610247.
