Knitted Christmas tree made at church

A knitted Christmas tree is to be unveiled at a church.

During the year a band of ladies from St Clement’s Church, Grainthorpe, have been knitting and crocheting over 700 squares of various shades and patterns in green.

They are now using them to create a wonderful 10 ft high Christmas tree, which will then be decorated with colourful knitted ornaments including a knitting angel.

The tree will be dedicated at the 11am service on Sunday December 15, and will be on display from 12noon until 4pm. Mince pies and other festive treats will be served.

Everone is very welcome to goand join them and any money raised will be for St Clement funds.

After Christmas the tree will be dismantled and the knitted squares will be made up into blankets for various charities.
