Learn about Italian art and culture with the Louth WEA

The Louth Workers’ Education Association (WEA) will be holding a six-week course on Italian Art and Culture next month.

From Caesar’s scandalous affairs with noblewomen, to Michelangelo’s social and financial ambitions, there will be a chronological overview of Italian art and culture. Through visuals, readings, anecdotes and discussions the course aims to introduce some fascinating aspects of Italy’s cultural heritage.

The course will be held weekly, starting on Tuesday September 23 from 10am until 12.15pm at the Salvation Army Hall in Church Street.

The course costs £52, with a fee waiver for those on benefits. This year the fee will include a free hot drink and a biscuit.

The tutor, Barbara Cerminara, is a translator, modern language educator, fine art conservator and artist based in Lincoln.

Early booking is essential. Contact Sylvia Trickett on 01507 601072 or email sylvia.trickett@btinternet.com
