Lincolnshire Churches Trust annual sponsored cycle ride

THE Lincolnshire Churches Trust organises the annual sponsored cycle ride (or stride depending on choice) as its principal fund raising effort and this year it is to be held on Saturday September 8.

Cyclists or walkers from throughout the diocese are encouraged to take part and while supporting the trust can also choose a parish church to support as the sponsored funds collected are shared with 50 per cent going to the Trust and 50 per cent to the participating church.

The Lincolnshire Old Churches Trust uses the funds it receives to give grants to individual churches requiring repairs, alterations and improvements so all parish churches in need of expensive repairs can appeal for help and last year the total exceeded £100.
Sponsor forms are available for those who would like to take part and church wardens in the Parish of the Barkwith Group are Mary Jordan and Richard Stamp at East Barkwith; Maureen Turner and David Todd at East Torrington, Joyce Ward at Hainton, Barbara Chamberlin and David Chamberlin at Six Hills and Marcus Edmundson at South Willingham.
