St Leonard’s Church, South Cockerington has received £500 from Lincolnshire Co-operative Community Dividend Grant towards the installation of a kitchenette in the vestry at the rear of the church and a toilet with facilities and access for the disabled.
The work is now almost complete and the kitchen is in use.
It is wonderful to have water on tap and washing up facilities which are used by the PCC to provide refreshments for visitors to the church and for social functions.
The project has been supported with generous grants from East Lindsey District Council and National Churches Trust, along with grants from several other bodies.
As the church is the only public building in the village these will facilities will make it possible for a much wider community use.
