District councillors have used their ‘Councillor Community Grants’ to support local causes.

Alford Councillors Sarah Devereux and Graham Marsh have awarded £150 altogether to Alford Corn Exchange Community Group for their Christmas lunch they had recently and enabled them to invite residents who live alone or have had a difficult year in order to help reduce isolation.

Meanwhile, Councillor David Buckley awarded £470.68 to Utterby Parish Council to purchase new IT equipment to enable the parish clerk to manage the council’s work and communications.

He also awarded £1,000 to Utterby Village Hall for the installation of power points in the main hall and car park security lighting for greater
safety and security.
