Local lottery winner spreads Christmas cheer for charity

LOCAL lottery winner Steve and his wife Gaynor Appleby from Louth took time out to deliver Christmas cheer giving gifts to St Andrew’s Hospice in Grimsby.

The pair played Santa for an afternoon alongside seven other winners from around Lincolnshire, delivering presents desperately needed for patients which include a lazer star projector, children’s high chairs and baby monitors.

The hospice provides sepcialist care for people of all ages affected by life limiting illnesses.

This has made up part of the National Lottery’s Winter Wonderland tour, travelling all over the country on a traditional double-decker bus, visiting a host of charitable concerns.

Steve won £3 million back in 2005 with a lucky lottery ticket from Spencers newsagent and is still happily living in Louth.
