Local teacher Richard wins prestigious award

PROFESSOR Richard Lance Keeble, Acting Head of the Lincoln School of Journalism, has become the first academic at the University of Lincoln to a win a National Teaching Fellowship.

This is the top award a teacher can receive in higher education.

The prize, worth £10,000 for professional development, will be awarded at a ceremony at Middle Temple Hall, London, on October 5.

Professor Keeble who lives in Withcall, near Louth, was delighted to win such a prestigious award.

He said: “I have always had a passion for newspapers and tried to convey that passion within my teaching.

“I’ve always learnt a lot from my students and shared with them my knowledge and skills.”
