HANCOCK’S Half Hour - The Lost Episodes is coming to the Riverhead Theatre on Friday September 21.

Hambledon Productions has been granted an exclusive licence to adapt and perform two ‘lost’ original Hancock’s Half Hour episodes in and around Lincolnshire.

Written by the perennial duo Ray Galton and Alan Simpson, this show will mark the very first time these scripts have been performed for nearly 60 years, when they were first broadcast featuring ‘the lad himself’ Tony Hancock with Bill Kerr, Sidney James, Andree Melly and Kenneth Williams.

This new play will feature the radio episode A Winter’s Tale and the television episode The Italian Maid, which have been especially adapted for the stage by arrangement and approval with Tessa Le Bars Management and Classic Comedy Scripts.

Everything about the show is authentic. They have a replica set of Hancock’s bedsit for the television episode, while the radio episode is being staged and performed as a realistic live recording, complete with live sound effects.

Tickets are available from the box office on 01507 600350 (Mon-Sat 10am-1pm) or online at www.hambledonproductions.com
