Louth and District Drivers Club supports LIVES

THE LOUTH and District Drivers Club has disbanded after 25 years and has presented a number of local charities with its final donations.

Among the recipients were LIVES, who received a donation from the club of £1,000.

Paul Martin, HQ manager of LIVES said: “It’s always a fantastic thing to be given such a substantial amount of money to help us to continue with the good work that we do.”

Cheques were also going to be presented to Spire Hospital Radio and the ambucopter.

“The money donated can be used to purchase a defibrillator or four pulse oximeters,” Paul added.

“It costs nearly £1m each year to keep us up and running and any donations we receive are greatly appreciated.”

LIVES is an active responder group in the local community serving Louth and the surrounding areas with 600 responders across the county.
