Louth man sentenced for cocaine possession

A Louth man has been sentenced at Skegness Magistrates’ Court after he was discovered to be in possession of cocaine and cannabis.

Stuart Stocks, 32, of St Bernard’s Avenue, was discovered to have 2.48g of cocaine (estimated to be worth around £100) in Eastgate, Louth, on November 24 last year.

On the same day, an unspecified amount of cannabis was also found at his home.

Appearing at Skegness Magistrates’ Court on July 29, Stocks pleaded guilty to both charges.

He was fined £110 for possession of cocaine, and fined a further £55 for possession of cannabis. Stocks was also ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service, all of which will be deducted from benefits.

The drugs were forfeited to the court and destroyed.
