A group of students from King Edward VI Grammar School in Louth are flying high after taking part in a televised Blue Peter Challenge for Red Nose Day.

The group of 13 travelled to RAF Cranwell near Sleaford to play their part in Blue Peter presenter Helen Skelton’s challenge which saw her fly with the world famous Red Arrows.

The pupils, who are all part of the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) joined around 400 others to watch Helen’s terrifying ride in the flesh, and cheer her on.

It was the third of Helen’s Magnificent ‘Seven challenges for Red Nose Day’ after she attempted a conversion in front of 82,000 rugby fans at Twickenham and performed in two musicals in London’s West End.
