Pupils from two primary schools in Louth were given an insight into the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) when they went on a visit to King Edward VI Grammar School in Louth.

A total of 75 year fives from St Michael’s and Lacey Gardens enjoyed a taste of the local CCF, an army and RAF cadet force run within KEVIGS, thanks Flt Lt Paul Reeve and his group of young cadets.

Pupils took part in team games, confidence courses and even had a look at some rifles.

Youngsters can join the CCF from age 13 and KEVIGS has a strong core of cadets within the school, who take part in a range of activities and attend annual camps.
