The building was officially opened for the community to use in 2000 and is owned by East Lindsey District Council, but leased by Mablethorpe Town Council.
The new committee of around 10 people, which includes several members of the old committee and a number of town councillors, who are taking on the role as individuals, are all excited about developing the hall and extending its usage in future.
The community hall has also been decorated and a new heating system has been installed by local business MG Plumbing and Heating Services based in Sutton on Sea.
Treasurer Keith Pinion said: “This hall is designed for use by those who live in the local community and we’re looking to continue to make it profitable in the future and open it up for use by anyone.
“But it will now be a more pleasant and warmer place to be, now we have had the heating fixed thanks to the help of Matt Gatens of MG Plumbing and Heating Services, so a big thank you goes out to him. Our next job is to replace the front doors.”
With reasonable rates and many users already taking advantage of the facility, like Slimming World, Vitality, the recent jobs fair, blood donating and the Mablethorpe Art Group to name but a few.
The hall is also available to hire out for private function.
