RUNNER Barrie Siddons completed the world famous Chicago Marathon earlier this month.
It was the Mablethorpe resident’s 37th marathon, and he crossed the line after 26.2 miles in around six-and-a-half-hours.
Barrie (pictured) said: “I collapsed after last year’s Chicago Marathon so I was really pleased to cross the line though I was aiming for five hours.
“I ran for my friend Diane Stevenson from Sutton on Sea, who died last year.”
Barrie ran in aid of the charity SCOPE, raising over £200 in the process.
Barrie has completed the London Marathon 11 times and has also finished eight New York Marathons. He regularly runs 40 miles per week around the local area.
