MARATHON man Barrie Siddons was presented with a certificate by Louth charity SCOPE for his efforts running the Chicago Marathon.

Barrie, who lives in Mablethorpe, raised £207 for the charity in October’s race.

He completed the gruelling 26.2 mile course in a very reasonable six-and-a-half-hours.

SCOPE thanked him for his efforts.
