A 30-year-old Mablethorpe woman has appeared before magistrates in Skegness on charges of intimidating a witness in an upcoming dangerous dogs trial.

Emma Teresa Chaplin, of Kingsley Road, faces allegations that on July 27 at the Jesters public house in Victoria Road, Mablethorpe, she intimidated Rachel Leach, a witness in proceedings for an offence, intending to cause the course of justice to be obstructed, perverted or interfered with.

She is also charged with assaulting Rachel Leach on the same day by beating her.

Ms Chaplin denied the offences and elected to be tried in the magistrates court on December 19.

She was granted conditional bail.
