Man rescued from ‘hole’ after getting stuck in Ingoldmells - specialist fire crew from Louth involved in rescue

There were dramatic scenes on Roman Bank in Ingoldmells on Monday afternoon after a man got stuck in a hole and had to be rescued by specialists from Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue.

Specialist crews from Skegness, Lincoln, Bourne and Louth were scrambled to the scene at 3.14pm.

“Crews made [the] scene safe and used a short extension ladder, shovels and GP line to assist one male from the hole,” said a spokesperson for Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue via their official Twitter feed.

Emergency services have described the location of the incident as being Roman Bank, although it is understood the hole may have been on the beach.
