Man seriously injured in Manby car crash

A man has been injured in an RTC on the B1200 at Manby Middlegate. Emergency services were called to the scene at 6.30pm on Tuesday evening following a collision between a Ford Mondeo and a Vauxhall Astra.

The driver of the Mondeo, a 28 year old man from Saltfleetby, was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary by air ambulance, suffering from abdominal injuries. He underwent surgery and remains in a serious but stable condition.

The driver of the Astra is a 22 year old man from Manby, who was treated at Grimsby hospital for less serious injuries.

The road was reopened at 10pm.
