A cheque for £250 has been presented to the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance thanks to funds that were raised by the Manby and Grimoldby WI.

The money handover was performed at the October meeting of the Manby and Grimoldby WI which is held every month.

The money was raised at the WI’s Centenary Celebrations.

The group held a strawberry tea afternoon at the home of Christine Baxter back in July.

The Grimoldby and Manby WI meet at Grimoldby Village Hall on the second Thursday of each month at 7.30pm.

New members are always welcome.

Their programme is varied and includes a special guest speaker every month, or they have a social evening.

Extra activities the local WI hold include outings to places of interest, along with a connection to federation activities as well.

There are also opportunities to learn new crafts or to improve on ones you already have.
