Laura Ferrier, Year 12 AS Graphics student at Monks’ Dyke Tennyson College, has designed the new front cover for the Louth Dolphins Swimming Club programme.

The local swimming club has organised a one day event taking place on Saturday November 2 called the Meridian Meet.

Laura has designed the front cover for the programme to be used on the day.

This event, to be held at the Meridian Leisure Centre Swimming Pool, starts at 9am and finishes at 5pm.

Five or six clubs have been invited to take part and swimmers will try to amass as many points as they can.

This will not only be added to their club’s final tally but will give them the opportunity to better their county or regional times for each race.

The overall winning club will be awarded £200, which was kindly donated by Moncaster Wire Products in town.

Tracy Challis, Grants and Sponsorship Secretary for the club, said: “Laura should be very proud of her work, she has produced a fantastic, original design.

“The club will be proud to have this featured on the front cover of their programme.”

Louth Dolphins operate three competitive swimming squads – Skills, Development, and Performance – with extra sessions for swimmers at the top of each squad to prepare them for the next level of training or competition. They also have Senior and Masters squads to accommodate an increasing number of older endurance, triathlete and fitness swimmers.

Our eight lane pool at the Meridian has an electronic timing system.
