Energetic students raised money for brain damage victims.
Frazer Knowles, Emily Templeton, Reece Southwood, Keren Newlove, Ben Wells and Ashley Southwood, all 6th Form students on the Louth campus of Monks’ Dyke Tennyson College, set themselves a rigorous challenge recently, all in the name of a good cause.
All students gave themselves the task of going through a tough fitness circuit for the whole day.
This arduous task began at the start of the college day and the students were actively engaged in certain disciplines until the end of day bell sounded in college.
Disciplines such as cycling, rowing and step aerobics were carried out throughout the day, with many students spectating and encouraging the athletics. Other 6th Form students willingly collected donations around college and could be seen ‘rattling their buckets’ in order to muster as much support as possible.
The Ryan Smith Foundation, Team Smith charity was the chosen charity and over £200 was raised for their cause!
This charity supports those suffering with brain defects caused by accidents.
