Music making fun continues in town

A MUSIC making workshop for children and young people with special needs in Louth has been extended.

The Making Noise workshops have been running over the summer thanks to a partnership between soundLINCS Lincolnshire Music Development Agency and the Riverhead Theatre.

The project began life through funding from Lincolnshire County Council’s Short Breaks scheme and has been so well-received that further funds have been secured as part of sound52, Lincolnshire Youth Music Action Zone, to continue the workshops until Christmas.

They are held every Sunday at the Riverhead Theatre. Youngsters can use instruments and the skoog - a soft, squeezable cube with touch-sensitive sides which translates touch into musical sounds via a computer link.
