National Citizenship Service at Louth Town Hall

Louth Town Hall is to host the National Citizenship Service programme.

It will be host to young people who want to put something back into their community for the whole of the week beginning July 29.

The 16 and 17-year-olds who have volunteered for the programme will be undertaking tasks to brighten up and help Louth.

They will be involved in activities ranging from spring cleaning parts of the town to making a video to help promote Louth to tourists and shoppers.

National Citizen Service (NCS) is a unique, full-time programme aimed at 16 and 17-year-olds in England that runs for over three weeks in their holidays.

The 30 hour community support programme is only one third of their commitment, they also work to develop their social skills and team building through residential courses.
